im gonna be painting my civic and its my first time. How are you suppose to mix the primer with the hardner or the paint with the hardner can someone explain? also how much should you mix?

 

Depends on the paint, the mfr. will have the ratio listed on the paint container, and you can pick up a mixing bucket with the ratio markers on the side, easy. Make sure you get the correct hardner for the paint. When you go to your local auto body supply store, ask before you buy, they generaly know thier stuff.

you have to read on the cans .. to see the mixing ratio
habitually , here's the ratio :

Basecoat ( paint ) : 1:1 .. equal part of paint and hardener
Primer : 4:1 .. 4 part of primer and 1 part of hardener
Clearcoat : 4:1 .. 4 part of clear and 1 part of hardener

 

these guys forgot, then you stir it with a paint stick.
