Default Help! getting ready for paint

I am in the process of paint my car. I sanded down the roof top and trunk and fenders with primer from the can. I am taking my car to macco for black paint. I was wondering if it would be okay to primer the whole car with the can. and then take it there? or should i resand it down some with 600 grit all over the car and shoot some real primer from the paint supply store? then i will take it to macco or just shoot the paint myself.

Im not new to paint and body. taking classes here.

Please let me know whats the best. Would the rattle can primer hold up? it comes out good and smooth?

i dont trust rattle can primers

maaco will not give a care if your paint job fails since you were the one that prepped the car yourself.... or will charge you extra for them to do it right

i think you're better off just scuffing the whole car with 500-600 or a grey scuff pad... and use no rattle can primer at all...

just shoot the car with the primer in the can ( the hole car). sand it down sand the car down with wet/dry 600 and go get it painted.
