front body panel alignmnet?
i bought my car (88 std civic hatch) with some front end damgae nothing serious just a dent on the fender and some pos headlights so i decided to swap the entire front so it would all match. so i took a 90 dx front end and swapped the entire front end over and am ghaving some trouble getting it all to line up correctly. any one have any help or advice on how to fix this? thanks.
Start at the bottom of the fender and get it to line up with the doors on both sides. Leave the top of the fender loose. Put the hood on and try to close it making sure that the fenders don't get under the hood. Once you can close the hood easily, line up the fenders to the hood. Then make sure the headlights fit. If they fit and the hood lines up with the lights then you are good.
Also don't have the hood latch in place or the hood catch, wichever comes out easier. I would take the hood catch out if it is removed instead of the lock if you have not taken that one out and it is in it's original place still and not effected by an accident.
