Default Black basecoat with Blue flake

I have a 93 civic and i'm wanting a black basecoat with blue flake so that it shimmers when the sun hits it. I'm not talking about a slight metallic look, i want this thing to shimmer from a mile away ( maybe i exagerate a bit but i think i made my point). What i need to know is what the best combination would be of basecoat, clear coat, and metal flake, and how much should be used, and which brand would be best. Keep in mind i'm not doing this myself, i have someone who will do the job as long as i buy all the paint, but i've never done this b4 so i really am quite clueless. any help would be greatly appreciated

I can tell you want a lot of metallic flake, so I would definitely go with House of Kolor flake.

If you want a lot of the metalic flake to show, mix the flake in with your clear. A lot of the time if you mix flake with a black base coat, it doesn't show. Also, take the little filter out of the gun when spraying the clear so that the flake doesn't get stuck

First thing that came to my mind was that he's wanting just a regular black since he did say any type of paint code. If you do get some type of name black like what was mentioned above, be sure to spray a light coat first and probably the last 2 coats so you can get more flake out without it being buried.

Another thing, instead of buying name brand flake from a paint store, just go to a hobby store and buy some blue glitter
