Backyard 1/4 Replacement.What to do..
I have a 93 Si hatch and i plan on doing some quarter repair.I have the panel.Rust Check(Fiberglass reinforced body filler),brush on seam sealer, paint brush,140 mig .030 fluxcore wire, red oxide primer(rust check)... What am i forgetting. I have putty spreders and grinding disk of course.... Is there anything i seriously need before hand?
sandable primer..I am getting napa to mix me up a spray bomb r-81 and i will clear it once the weather is nice.Cant forget sandpaper.... If someone can direct me to a budget but reliable backyard job link please do so.I dont want to hear some punk kid say get the whole car painted cause i dont see the need in it.Or blow $300 on materials that i dont need. Please some input would be great
What exactly are you repairing on the quarter panel? Just saying that you are doing some repair without stating the problem makes it difficult to say what you are or are not missing.
sanding block or speed file because you can't shape filler with your hands. And you need weld through primer too for the welds. ya i agree with eksessiv, what will you be doing exaclty?
