From what I hear, the turbos WILL go, and you HAVE to drop the motor to replace them. If not for that I would get a tiptronic, throw on an exhaust and cruise in that for a while. They're really heavy too. I'd actually love to throw a 4.2 in one.

Here's a pic so I'm not whoring

This would have been so boss

Don't be scared. When the turbos go, just throw some bigger snails in.

Nice cars.

Looking for an A4 (b6) 1,8T Quattro S-line avant, as a daily driver now. Pretty nice cars and looks cool in the winter up here, with the icy/snowy roads and all.

I'm picking up this one this weekend:

(lame pic taken by seller)

S-line spec (sports leather\fabric interior, factory sport suspension, RS4 wheels, etc), 1,9TDI (chip-tuned to around ~170hp\390nm), 6- speed manual box.

Will hopefully be a nice daily driver!

I love these cars and they are beautiful, however the b5 s4 has a very cramped engine bay and things like to go wrong sending off check engine lights every time the wind blows. The parts are fairly expensive but alot of money can be saved if you do the work yourself. Since i have owned this one i have already replaced a coilpack, still had a cel and a rough idle reading as a misfire, replaced the sensor on the airbox that controls the coilpacks since they burn out when a coil goes out, one of two valve cover gaskets, and had the abs ecu rebuilt. That fixed the cel and the abs rebuild allowed the tech to access my ecu so i could pass my inspection.......lol. now i have a cel for either a vacuum leak or a faulty maf sensor. Know what you may be getting yourself into when you buy this particular model.
