Default aerodynamic question

i have an 88 fiero and i was looking at the back window and there is definitely a vortex/eddie that forms right behind that window and i was thinking i could put a spoiler (NOT A WING) right behind that vortex to help spoil the turbulent vortex street that forms and theoretically reduce the drag of the car. i was going to basically make a rectangle on the trunk lid out of sheet aluminum. what do you guys think?

Umm? A Pontiac Fiero? Not to be rude, but this is H-T.

Post a picture of the area you're talking about. IIRC the GT's have side windows that if you put a piece of lexan across it would make a fastback shape and significantly reduce drag.
