Sidemarker Problem for EF
Hello!
well i have read many post on how to wire the Stanley side markers on a 91 EF but i believe im doing something wrong. First question... my side markers consist of two wires a black one and a green one... which is ground ??
My bigger problem is that i tried to wire with the third option (jdm style) and its not working properly. It only works when i have my turn signal but when ,my lights or corner lights are on the side markers turn off .. why? I have them wired from the corner lights is that ok ?? Please comment back i will greatly appreciate it thx!!

the black wire is the ground. the green is the power or signal.
if u wire side markers in to your corner blinkers, they are going to blink oppositely because they cannnot both blink at the same time.
correct me if im wrong, but your side marker light is not a dual filament. meaning it will be on when ur parking lights are on, but when u signal, its going to lose power causing it to blink opposite of the turn signal... hope that helps...

Use black for ground and green for power to keep things straight, but really it doesn't matter which wire goes where unless you're using LED bulbs in the sidemarkers. Then it matters.
If you hook your sidemarkers up to your turn signals, the sidemarkers will function the same as the turn signals. Same for wiring them to the corner lights.
Check the function of your corner lights. Some Hondas are wired for the corner lights to flash with the turn signals when parking lights are off, and opposite the turn signals when parking lights are on.
If you want your sidemarkers to function as both parking lights and turn signals, simply connect one wire to the POWER wire of the turn signal bulbs, and the other wire to the POWER wire of a constant parking light bulb (one that never flashes).
