Cool. The fogs are not the real Stanley's but just a replica like most out there. I know, I was thinking about doing a retro for the fogs as well, I have a IS300 as well so I know what the output does especially if you have a HID 3,000K kit for it!

No, but 3 out of 4 holes line up. Make a notch on 1 corner of the projector, then screw the IS to the civic bracket. Its pretty easy if you have the 2 side by side. The only thing thats hard is you need to make room for them because they are longer than the civic fogs on top of the 9006 bulb sticking out the back. You need to do a little cutting of the frame rail, but it goes quick with sawzall and a 3lb sledge. They put out alot more light, so to me it was worth an hours work.

To the OP: Nice work on the retrofit.
To e46civic: Any pics of the install and how the is300 came out on your car?

This is something I'll be tacking over the summer. Good stuff!

As far as I knew 3rd had the gold bracket and a bunch of ebay copies. Im using 2nd, which is identical to the 1st. I find them super easy to retro.
Hello, maybe I can offer some information as I've done the retrofit (many moons ago, damn I feel old lol). I had some Denji's w/ the black housing, fluted high beam (open H1 bulb, low was a H3 projector, no city lights, glass housing).

What I found, is that you essentially have to fabricate any type of mounting (if there are projectors that pretty much bolt in, then thats a wiiner - like the evo ones mentioned earlier?).

Originally, I tried E55 Bi-Xenons (those things are huge), first run wasn't that successfull. Brackets I "made" werent sturdy.

Second (and final), was using another set of housings (had to order another pair of Denji's). Sourced some Audi A4 projectors (D2S?), with Hella Gen.3 Ballasts (easy to route and hide, cable was pretty decent length).

I trimmed the mounting bracket off the original Halogen projectors, and modified them so I can bolt the audi projectors onto the original halogen brackets. Basic machine screws and nuts w/ lock washers were used, drilled new holes, measured everything 3 times to make sure lol. bolted them up, and was able to get everything to clear, rubber seal on back worked fine, headlights looked absolutely beautiful.

My point is, if you're in a pinch, try and utilize the original mounting as much as possible to bolt down the new projector into the original housing, while making sure you have ample clearance. Take your time and the result will be satisfying.

However, looking at the research thats been figured out, I'd try and get a bolt-in setup (Evo projectors sound nice if they do). I'll see if I can dig up some old pics of my projector retrofit from when I had my EG, but hopefully you get the gist of what I was explaining. Take care, hope that was somewhat helpfull!

Amauryr: Nice, get some pics up. On another note, I heard that pretty much an closed single xenon works nice (those a4 projectors are single xenon?) and if they are the right sized projector, it fits fine using a modified version of the stock mount within the denji projectors. I am tackling this project sometime later this summer using aftermarket ballasts with d2s/r wire conversions.
