Default One headlight brighter than other

Hello, I have 8000k headlights on my GSR and I was wondering why my driver's light is a little bit dimmer than my passenger's. I read it has to do with not blinding upcoming traffic and it was done purposely. Is this true?

Nope. Both lights should be the same brightness. Only the cutoff concerns itself with not blinding oncoming traffic, and should be the same both both lamps.

What it probably is (so this is a guess) is poor quality control on either the ballasts or capsules. No OEM HID system uses 8000K capsules, and most generic aftermarket capsules in the various "colors" are inferior to what the big names make.

The best thing to do would be to remove the illegal HID kit, and put legal halogen bulbs back in there.
