Default HID's help/advice.. please!

93 eg8 (4 door)-

I got some hid's off a buddy, put em in. Look good and everything, but it seems as if theres a big gap (driver side points left, passenger side points right) so it doesn't really help with lighting.. maybe it's the way the stock eg headlights are made. I've been looking at one piece lights, specifically these..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/130564057162...#ht_3701wt_956

I was wondering if y'all thought the light output would be a good bit better with the hids and this housing? I think it would, anyone have any insight? I know most people retrofit projectors, but i'm just not into the way that looks. And the stock eg housing obviously isn't any use for hid's. Or could someone point me in the right direction for the housing i'd need? Or any ideas to make the light output straight and even? Rather than one left, one right..?

thanks!

I take it you didn't even try to aim the lights?

with out a projector your hid's will just blind other driver's and **** them off.

It isn't a different housing that you need, it is optics designed for HID capsules instead of halogen bulbs that you need.

Do a retrofit or go back to halogen bulbs, if seeing better at night is actually your goal here.

You have to adjust ur housing usually when upgrading to hids u need to adjust ur head lights...... There should be two adjusters in each head light one is to adjust them up and down and the other left and right

doesn't work with HID's dumb advice in this case

HID's in non-hid projectors are sh*t that is all and thats what its always going to be no fix unless u do a retrofit

not all projectors will stop blinding.. they have to be hid projectors.. you can put hids in halogen projectors but they will still glare..

the reason people go with hids is to have more light output.. once you start aiming them down, then you just lose distance.. with hid projectors, you will have that bright light and still have the distance.. you will also add width to your output..

one more thing.. if you see light above the trunk on a car, you are definately blinding them.. they might not flash you but i will say youre light is in their face..

I've considered just putting in HID bulbs/ballasts in my 86 for when my son, Takumi, is drifting Akina in the early AM hours for his safety but honestly a projector retrofit is the way to do it.
Stock or Ebay aftermarket housings just don't do the HID's justice, plus people in oncoming traffic will hate you.
