Default Having a real hard time deciding!

I have an 08 Pilot and want to put a HID kit on. The bulb is an H11 55w. I cant decide if I want a 4300k or 6000k. I know 4300k is like OEM and 6000k has almost a slight blue tint to it. Would I have to get a 55w kit being the H11 is 55w or could i do the 35w? Should I get 4300k or 6000k? I cant make up my mind. Any help and experience with any of these kits would be greatly appreciated.

6,000K has a bluish output on the road. But when looking at the headlight, it looks intense pure white with a hint of deep blue on the bottom of the headlight

To Start, all OEM HID's are built as 35w systems for a reason.
Life span, proper Light output and electrical Efficiency. 55w HID system produce very high temperatures 700+deg F, in our Testing 55w ballast draws more amperage than your vehicles wiring is rated for. We Use 55w-150w ballast in off-road use only.

I ended up getting a 4300k hid kit that is 55w. Is that going to be to bright and blinding? Its for a Honda Pilot taht uses a h11 55w bulb.

if no fuses blow, its fine.

DO NOT replace the blown fuse with a larger one!
if you do, you risk melted harnesses, and electrical fires ^^

it should be fine, '08 pilots have decent halogen projectors, you might just need to realign the cut off..

search google or ht for how to align your headlights.

your stock pilot halogens protect your wiring up to 10amps per side. Good luck trying to fix that after you hook it up directly to your stock harness

So basically with any 55w system you get, you might run into problems?

Its not the Watts that you have to worry about its the Amps that the system draws.

55w HID systems

Inrush current : 8A~12A

Steady current : 5.5A~6.5A

12 AWG Is rated to transfer 9.3 Amps

This is the Formula to find out what AWG you have.

D(AWG)=.005·92((36-AWG)/39) inch.

Furthermore, all our wiring for the headlights use 18ga.
The higher in number the wires are, the thinner they are. That's why when installing an amp setup, they often use 0awg(american wire gauge) because it is thick. Thick means it can handle more.

usually aftermarket hid kits comes with relays or optional.
just pay the extra for peace of mind unless you got a fire extinguisher handy.
