no, their is no bulb. the clock digits themselves are electric and illuminate. just color the glass with a sharpie marker like teachers use on overhead projectors.
color the glass face of the clock, not the plastic cover. color, let dry, and color again in a different direction until the color is even. if this is too complicated you can use colored light filters over the top, such as the tabs off of notebook dividers. but ususally these kill the brightness of the clock and make it hard to see in the day time.
