Default D2S plug wire question

So i bought the plugs for my new setup but it has this extra white wire. Can anyone tell me what the white wire is for?
My ballast only has 2 wires, red and blue.
Can i just splice it to the red and blue on the connector and leave the white ?
I dont' want to blow up my new 85122 bulbs
Thanks!
here are the pics

Red to red, blue to black, white is just an insulator/noise dampener wire and isn't needed to be connected. I have the exact same plugs and I just did a quick solder job for my testing and it's problem free.

*edit*

If your ballasts are real phillips gen3 units than if you cut the insulation back into the thicker wire it should have the white wire in the cable and if your OCD gets the better of you than you can connect the white wire up properly...
