My friend is selling his HID bulbs that are size 9005 since he used to drive a 2008 civic. My civic needs H4/9003 sized bulbs. Is it possible to fit a 9005 bulb into a 9003 socket with some ghetto rigging?

 

Almost anything is possible with a little rigging, bubble gum and tape. Just match it up and see what's involved. Too much modification then don't bother

 

i wouldnt do i.. the focal point would be off.. you can use the ballasts but not the bulbs.. you can buy the correct bulbs from some hid supplier.. i also have to add that you wont have a high beam anymore.. if you get a bixenon bulb type, the high beam bulb is pretty much just a halogen.. if you want to get the projector hid setup, go with a retrofit..

 

Damn, just remembered his wasn't bixenon. -_- Yeah that's true, the focal would be off.
