Default 100watt h1 in projector

ok i got a 93 civic with some sonar projectors.
I switched out the factory 55watt bulb for some blue tinted 55watt,
There brighter then stock but I still want brighter but don't wanna go HIDs.
So what I want to know is can I put 100watt bulb in there or will it melt my wiring or projectors?
and if it will melt the wiring what gauge do i need to upgrade to?

Just get some 4300K HID's and aim them lower.
I dont know how a tinted bulb can give better visibility than stock.

They are the H1 Hyper White Xenon 55 watt(which have a blue tint to them), idk how there brighter but i know that they are brighter then my stock h1 bulbs that came with he projectors. And im trying not to go with HID dont feel like spending $60 for some bulbs.
Just wanted to know if i could put in a 100 watt H1 bulb

Careful, blue color makes light appear brighter, while actually providing less visibility.

Yes, you can put 100W H1 bulbs in the car. You'll also have melted headlamps and possibly melted wires though.

Honestly, the best solution for better visibility would be to first recondition the headlamp lenses and use good untinted bulbs of the correct wattage. If that is insufficient, then its time for a projector retrofit, halogen or HID based on personal preference (though I would not go through the effort for a halogen setup personally).

Silverstar bulbs are tinted. The newer Silverstar Ultra might not be, but I haven't seen a set personally, but I doubt it since they also claim "the look of HID", which means blue tinted.

Looking back at the original post, I overlooked the obvious issue with poor lighting output...

From what I've read, the TYC projectors also produce sub-par light output and distribution.

It's rather sad really, that all of the aftermarket headlamps I've ever seen have only ever been concerned with selling a cosmetic upgrade, with no regard for actual functionality.

Count me in as one of those would be willing to spend a decent amount of money for a good upgrade in night visibility. Unfortunately, the only real way to achieve this is with a proper HID retrofit on most cars, and I'm so far unwilling to cut up a set of headlamps and attempt my own.
