Ok so I just bought this em1 it has a k20z1 the issue is everything was working and from one day to another the speedometer started going crazy n doesn't read just spikes up n down the car drives funny too sometimes and it won't start as easy anymore it has the speed sensor in the front not the top n I have no idea were to start looking or how to go about fixing bit I don't wanna buy new speed sensor in case that's not the issue. Any help from u guys will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the option of calling the previous owner and asking him/her? I doubt this is the first time this has happened.

 

Owners say never had that happen to them a well known mechanic told me it's the vss sensor it's the magnetic one in the front of transmission , so I'm going to buy it and see if that fixes it

 

Bought new speed sensor switch out cluster and still nothing I'm going to check the wiring tomorrow the speedo stop jumping now it just doesn't read.
