Default Gear box binding? Hard to shift

Hey. Guys I'm new to the site but not Hondas. My name is Rich from rochester ny.I just bought my first k series car. I'm having a little issue with it. It's very hard to go threw each gear. Have to use a good amount of force on the shifter. The gears feel very close together and hard to find. Any ideas? Car is an eg hatch. With turbo k20z1 an ep3 trans. Thank in advance for any help guys!

I discoverd it has the HYBRID RACING gear box. Does anyone have experience with these? Or know what I should be looking for?

Might be a dumb question to ask, but did you check transmission to see if there is sufficient amount of mtf in it?

Check the basics. First thing I would that is very easy, disconnect the two cables from the top of the trans. Then the shifter should be very sloppy and easy to move. If it's still tight then you isolated it to the shifter itself or the cables.
