Default Best K engine for boost

New to K series, I’m looking for a K24 with VTECH and that’s good for big boost.
I’m also interested in a Frank build with a k24 block and k20 head,
just looking for info and how long a boosted stock internals k24 will last.
P.S not building a street car, I want a car just for the strip

Honestly, boosting a K20 will last longer than the K24 would due to the increased piston speeds of the K24, piston : rod ratio, and you are using boost so the 99mm stroke advantage does not really come into play as much. The K20 will be a little easier on the tranny as well. If compare engine to engine of course the K24 will make more TQ but the TQ will be falling off faster too.

K24 with the extra torque would definitely be a bit harder on the drivetrain.

Otherwise I think it's largely subjective to how the engine is built/tuned/driven. Even on a boosted setup the added stroke is a huge benefit, but may not be ideal depending on the goals and intent of the car. If this is a strip-only car, I'd say K24 all the way.
