It would have to idle pretty high to keep from stalling when locked in VTEC... like 1600-1800 RPM. The engine just doesn't pull much vacuum like this. Valve lash should remain stock at .006" Intake and .007" Exhaust, although it may not be a bad idea to add a thousandth just for a bit of additional oil film. Just out of sheer morbid curiosity... why are you locking VTEC up anyway ?

Hello JrCivic1,
thanks for replying back and holy crap thats a tad bit to high. Would it be possible to have it iding around 1k? Ive seen some youtube vids where some single cams idles around 1k with locked vtec. Im not to sure if single cams is whole another story. But to answer your question why im thininking to lock vtec is because the idle sounds bad ***!! Lol

You are most welcome. I think with the PERFECT idle and light throttle tune... you can get the idle down to about 1300-1400. You are sacrificing a LOT just for a choppy idle.

Hello Jrcivic1,
Thats seems better. And wym sacrificing alot? I heard that I wouldn't be getting much low end power. But im planning to slap a turbo.
