Default New to it all!

Hey guys!
I am the newbie. My name is John (U/N z-28john here and on ebay, too). Little background: I am a little bit older, am definitely old-school, but trying to learn a new way to roll, and, as the name implies, I have been a GM F-body fan forever! Glad to see the Camaro making a comeback, BTW.

That said, I can't afford to pay $3.50/gal and get less than 20 mpg anymore.
We need the extra interior space, too, since we now have two kids.
SO, I have bought my second Honda (if you count the wife's '10 Insight), in the form of a '99 Civic LX. Now, I am Jonesing for more power, as the 1.6 D-series motor doesn't quite match-up to my last vehicle ('95 Formula 'Bird w/ 400+ NA and 6-speed) or many others! That's why I am here, now!

So, howdy to y'all, and DO expect me to be posting about my options for the Civic, or maybe I just need an Acura?

Yeah, so I am learning! GOOD!
I was the one who had the '69 350 Chevy 010 high-nickel block, steel crank, with the 283 heads (bigger valves- and shaved), and 350hp 327 cam, I ran an L82 aluminum intake, a Carter quadra-jet carb from a 400 big block & a set of ram-horn exhaust manifolds (once)!
Everything was stock, from one year and one motor or another!
Plus I had 283s, 327s, 400 small-blocks, 402 big-blocks, etc. etc.
I usually ran my motors in Camaros (hence the user name), but occasionally in Monte Carlos and even a 5.7l Monza (think Vega-size)! Plus one V8 S10.
So, mix and matching parts suits me just fine!
Civics seem like the body of choice for my new transplants!
Cheers!
