Hi!
Hey y'all! I have a black 2004 Honda Accord EX manual transmission named LaFawnduh. She has 328k+change miles, and she has only ever left me stranded once (quite literally 0.5 miles from my destination and after splitting her clutch master cylinder wide open about 45 minutes prior; LaFawnduh is a tank!). I bought her January 2014 from my sister at ~175k miles, and my sister bought her in 2007 around 45k miles, if memory serves.
I haven't bought a new car bc Honda doesn't make her trim level anymore (black exterior, tan leather interior, heated front seats, sunroof, and a manual trans), and life is more fun in a stick with all the amenities haha!
I do all of her work with my husband's help, and right now we're finishing up her transmission rebuild. We replaced a bunch under the hood while the engine was out and everything was easy to access (timing chain, starter, tensioner pulley & serpentine belt, struts all around, etc.). We only have a few more steps before putting the battery back in and seeing if we should give up our days as shade tree mechanics
Wish us luck!!
