I just bought a 99 civic LS, but immidiately noticed it had issues. First it had a loud annoying muffler, so I swapped that out, then I noticed the transmission noise, uh oh. it sounds like a scraping noise when I let ou the clutch, The car drives fine there is just this noise. I thought It was the throw out bearing so I changed that out. When I got in there I noticed the rear main seal was leaking bad so I changed that out. Changed the oil pan seal and valve cover seal while I was at it. The noise persists! Also I got it cheap cause the guy didnt want to deal with smogging it. Bad idea on my part. The top O2 sensor was bad but the engine light didnt turn on because- THE GUY TOOK THE DAMN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OUT OF THE DASH!!! Cleared that issue but the catalyst converter is still tripping an error on the computer. Its turning into a lot more work than I thought, but I love driving it, and 35 mpgs is great!
