Default Greetings from the chaparral

Hi folks,

Glad to be here. A little background on my rig: Been driving a '92 civic eg the past five years and I love my car. The desire to swap in a d16z6 brought me here, and I hope to learn a lot from you guys.

I live in the IE too, so I'm down to hang out with any of you folks at meetups! I got a few Honda buddies too.

What engine do you have in it now ?
And if you don't mind me asking why do you want to swap it ?

Howdy!

I've got the stock 1.5 in it now, and it's running great, but I've clocked about 248xxx on it so far. A friend recommended the d16z6 because of how easy it is to swap in (I'm still an amateur mechanic at best). So it isn't a necessity yet, but my pops said he'd help a bit financially so I may as well take advantage of it.

Do you know if I need to get a new tranny with the swap too?

What are you driving?

I'm new here too, Hondas are very easy and fun to work on. You and your dad shouldn't have much trouble with that swap.

I think the tranny is a personal call. You should be good with the one you have now but if you want to change it you can.

I drive a 95 Ex, but I’m actually doing an swap on it now so I’m in my G35 at the moment

And for your pops helping that is awesome, it should be really easy, good luck with that
