Hello everybody, new to this forum and Honda's, it's all I have for now, I usually drive older Ford's, the kind with Windsor's, 4 barrels, distributors, 8 plugs, top loaders and 9" rearends. But, for now I have a 2002 Honda Civic EX 1.7 sedan, it was given to me when my last ride got repo'd. Yeah, I know a lot of people love um, no problem with that, I watched all the F&F movies, I like the big black car more than the little green one, but anyway, here I am.
My little egg beater has 265k on it, it was overheated by previous owner, ( a nephew), delivering pizza's, but I fixed all of the damage he did to except for doing a head job, probably has a crack in it, still burns a little water.
I think my MICU is fried now, I freaking hate electrical issues but I deal with um, because I can.
I don't run from problems, I fix them, big or small.
Because I don't like to be defeated. So, here I am, learning all about EEPROM's, MICU's, reprogramming things and all the good stuff.
I quit high school in 1976 when I started the 10th grade because I already knew I was going to be a mechanic, my old man fixed and launched F-4 Phantoms in the Navy back in the day, and I wanted to fix cars, I was notorious for joy riding before I of legal age, that's another story.
Anyway, I went to 18 months of tech school full time at day while getting my GED at night, got my auto mechanic certification and my GED.
First job was a mechanic helper, for another 18 months, then I joined the U.S. Air Force, was a crew chief on the McDonald Douglas F-15 Strike Eagle for a while, it was great !!!!
And now, I drive a worn out 02 Honda, go figure, still trying to figure out where it all went wrong.
But, just thought I'd intro myself, as long as I don't hear " found-on- road- dead", we'll get along just fine.
I'll see yah at the other end of the track,
. and one of my street names is "Slow Joe" , but it's got nothing to do with cars...
Nice to meet you all, thanks for allowing me to join the party...
Hello Raalfellion, yeah, sometimes things happen in life that can't really control, just have to make the best with what we have... nice to meet you... 😎👍👌🤙

I think my MICU is fried now, I freaking hate electrical issues but I deal with um, because I can. My nephew worked part-time working on my car while he was studying. He says he was able to find time thanks to https://edubirdie.com/write-my-essay-for-me who do assignments for him. I haven't heard of it before, but it turns out there is a service for your papers. Sounds like a very handy thing. I don't run from problems, I fix them, big or small. Because I don't like to be defeated. Hi! I'm also new to the forum. You have impressive experience. I have a 1997 Honda Accord that I recently bought at a good price. Now I'm gradually figuring out its quirks. Have a great day! Since I'm in college, it will be a long journey, but I really enjoy it.

Hello Springlad, nice to meet you, and thanks. Yeah, sometimes the quirks are hard to diagnose, but with persistence we can conquer all !!! See you later
