my first honda was a 1989 Civi Dx HB 5spd. wonderful car, fast, fuel efficient, fun to drive. i did read somewhere that the top speed was around 103 or so, but i was able to get it up to 120 on the street with no improvements, and it was within the first 500 miles of ownership too. but that car was sold and the new owner eventually blew up the engine and trashed the car. i recently purchased a 2008 Pilot, then found another 1989 Civic Dx Hb 5spd, with approx. 268k miles on it. not real sure of mileage, have seen evidence of it being lowered and dragged across the pavement. i have installed new struts, timing parts, exhaust, steering wheel, misc. bushings, a wheel bearing, alternator, fuel pump, fuel sender and battery. and i repainted it Midnight Blue Metallic, a 2014 BMW color. now i have problems with it, but it's a project, so i should expect it.
