what will this LS-Vtec run?
So, the guy with the b20 backed out. So ill be saving for a LS-vtec setup instead. I already know the setup. It will be a full street car that shouldnt require too much tuning and headaches. Upgrade Engineering in Whittier has a good price on theyre LS-Vtec motors. The blocks are bored 30 over, and sleeved, ITR oil pump, ITR water pump, ITR pistons, micropolished crank, fully blueprinted and balanced, arp rod bolts and head studs, and i want to get the ITR head with the b16a1 intake manifold to keep things OBD 0. (that will cost a little extra). The way i see it this will be basically an ITR motor with more displacement and a longer stroke for better torque at any RPM. 1.9 liters of displacement should net a peak HP of about 6-9 hp more then an ITR and a more thorough tourque curve. Then add the bolt-ons, no cheap home made crap, i wanna try out the new AEM CAI V2 intake, and the header-tech 4-2-1 street header, and i already got the catback exhaust and the guted cat (sorry tree huggers). This is all going into an EF 4 door LX. So, shifting at 8600 rpm i would think its possible to break high 13's in street trim on 205/50 azenis. With my old b16 setup (ITR intake cam, GSR exhaust cam, ghetto CAI, DC headers, guted cat, exhaust, no AC or PS) i ran a 14.8 with full interior. So im hopin for a 13.6-13.8 in street trim and a 13.3-13.5 gutted and slicked. (whew) What do you guys think? possible?
