sup guys, this Q is for the tranny gurus, or whoever wants to help. i have a ITR tranny.. and the VSS is broken on it. now i was told i could swap my VSS out of my other tranny. then it hit me that my other tranny is an LS. could this still be accomplished. if i cant swap, the VSS is complete, just the plastic casing is broken off of it, i doubt its a good idea but is there a way i can rig it in there.

just try your other one and see if it works.

You may also be able to take just the top of your LS VSS and swap it to the bottom of the ITR one. There are 3 bolts, two of them will allow you to take the top off. It should be pretty easy to see.

 

its all the same, i used my VSS from my b16 tranny in my ITR tranny sense i had just replaced it before i blew it.

 

sounds good guys, yea i went ahead and switched them. they fit. im pertty sure there is no real difference b/w the two

nah man, the Prelude powersteering rack had a different configuration to the JDM sensor, so i had no choice (since the B16A is in my 1983 Prelude!)

so the VSS doesnt matter if its vtec or not. they will all just about work on each othr

 

yep, i guess so, all that matters is that it fits in the hole and has the smae pinion gear...
