Default Total Swap Cost

i'm planning on swapping a b16a2 into my ek coupe and i was wondering exactly how much this thing is gonna cost me including swap, extra parts, and labor. Can any of you guys maybe tell me how much all of your stuff cost together to do any swaps similar to this and if possible how much each part such as engine mounts, shift linkage, etc... cost you. i tried a search and i was having a little bit of trouble finding much info on total cost of a swap...just letting u guys know that i searched . i'm a little new to engine swaps so any help would be appreciated . Thanx

It all depends, but for me 2400? I got an ls motor for 2200 shipped, and the rest of the money went to miscellaneous parts. I haven't put my motor in yet, but i have pulled the old one out. Basically i got most everything for the swap because i got the whole front clip, but i still needed a rear 99 si bracket, a hard clutch line(im doin auto to manual conversion), some hoses, sparkplugs, fluids, crush washers, B&M fuel pressure regulator. I'm sure i missed a few stuff, but like i said, it all depends on what you get with your swap, how many tools you have, and what exactly you want to do to it. I'm sure im going to be spending several hundred more to complete the swap, but at this moment it seems like that is it to just finish it. Good luck!

B16a2 is 2450.00 at HMO(hondamotorsonline.com) and 1850 at Osaka. If you get the complete swap from either of these places they will include everything you need including rear SI tranny mount, axles etc... Some people suggested doing basic maintance when putting the motor in such as new water pump, timing belt, alt. belt and spark plugs. That would be a smart idea because it's hard to say how much miles those motors really have. Labor varies in different places. I would say 500-550 is resonable. However, alot of people would suggest doing some research and putting in the motor yourself. I would reconsider doing a b16 in an EX coupe, simply because the b16 doesnt have that much torque to move the heavy coupe. I got my 97 b18b locally for 1000. It was missing axles and need front tranny mount, everything was intact. When i put it in i will change alt. belt, timing belt, water pump and get new plugs.

BTW: the additional parts i mentioned like the water pump, belts etc.. should come out to about 100-120 bucks.

If you get a b16, it comes with the swap, and any b series, you can use all the mounts except for the rear.

if you get a 99-00 b16 from a civic si i know for sure you wont need to get a rear SI mount because it should already come with the swap. If you get any other B series swap then you will need the rear SI mount.
