teg b20?
anyone done a b20 swap on an ls/3rd gen? i know its a lot of tq, but is there something less expensive that can produce the same? H22/23 seems out of the pic for me...i dont wanna be dealing with engine mount kits that dont work or pistons facing the opposite way, just seems like too many probs. looking for something non-vtec.

Re: teg b20? (styler7)
it's still going to cost some decent money, but you can have your current b18b resleeved and bored out to 84+mm. this will give you the torque you're looking for i think
to get sleeved (using GE sleeves): ~$750+shipping bore/deck: ~$100 in labor and then you'll need pistons to accomodate the larger bore. you could get used b20 pistons for next to nothing im sure (if you're on a budget) and a b20 headgasket. |
Re: teg b20? (dlric)
why spend all that money when you can throw a b20 in there for about 1000$.
all you need is a diffrent intake manifold because the hood wont close with the b20 one. |
Re: teg b20? (KAMiN)
yea..his b18b intake mani would be perfect.
