Default taking motor out need help

How hard would it be to remove a 01 gsr motor? I have a little knowledge on my engine but would like to hear from someone who has already done it or knows how to do it? Also what is a good book to pick up to help me through this process?I'm getting ready to do a complete motor build up for a large turbo.
