swapping plugs

is it ok if i cut the iat plug i have off a junk obd2 harness and solder it onto my obd0 harness and use it as the radiator fan plug for my obd2 b20? they are both the same 2 wire round plugs.

Plugs are plugs... as long as you get the wires correctly connected.
