Default Supra Engine Compatability

I just recently obtained a 4th Gen Turbo Supra engine from a 1995 Supra. I got the engine....but not the car. I thought that I could count on the Honda-Tech guys for some good advice on what car I could drop that engine in. What do you guys think??

Um...any MKIV Supra (1993.5-1998) with little modification.
FD3 (1993-1997) TT RX7 with major modifications.
Lexus IS300
Lexus SC400

You can put it in any car if your wallet is fat enough....

Considering the stealth is an overweight dog of a car to start with, it sounds like a pretty idea.

yeah the IS300 and the GS300 have the same inline 6...but the SC has a V8 and that makes his statement WRONG.....i never stated a specific car....the whole statement is WRONG.... ...i am reffering to the sc430....my bad the sc300 does have the 3.0 inline

anyone know?

if NA engine is just as good as the TT engine, then boosting NA engine with a big **** turbo is just as good, or even better..

Ive seen some factory Toyota engines handle some serious boost, and I have even seen a sweet boosted GS400 at Maple Grove raceway, but I dont know first hand.
I would check with the guys at MKIV.com that site is a must see for anyone who has ever drooled over a Supra.

There are some differences. The TT blocks have oil squirters to remove heat, low compression pistons, and a more efficient head to flow better. You can actually add all these parts to a NA block and have just about the same thing as a factory TT (if you're gonna spend that green, may as well go forged). I have seen record of a boosted NA running 11's pushing about 520 hp at the wheels.

Just for the record, both the IS300 and SC300 (sorry about posting SC400 in my original post) use the 2JZ-GE motor (same as the NA Supra) and the TT Supra uses the 2JZ-GTE. If you really want to take advantage of the TT Supra, I hope you got the 6spd from the car as well.

My vote is for the IS300. I've always thought they were pimp little cars.

How about a toyota cressida?
My friend said that they have the same engine as the older supra non turbos (3rd gen) and they were a luxury car in its time.
Id prolly just sell it cause its got to be worth some major cash. And you cant really do anything with just the ENGINE, must have tranny, manifolds, turbos, ecu, wires, hoses, ect........(front clip)
