somthign is wrong here. its weird. what could it be?
Ok. I was drining my 92 vx with 99 gsr motor all over today. runs good. fast as hell. but on my way home at night it just lost all power. Like nothing was there. but then it came back. but then a little while later, it just died again. its still running, but when i give it gas, all I can hear is the intake sucking air. (bad becasue its washing out my rings) but then if I keep giving it gas, it would tkae off again. weird. very weird becasue it ran good all day long. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. ????
haha. ok. this sux really bad. My tps sensor is broke. ok. not to worry, I hve a new one from my old gsr motor. but how in the hell do you change the tps sensor??? I see that it looks like honda put the bolts in the sensor and then broke them off and put a dot of white paint over it. and both my gsr motors have this. what a shitty day.
If anyone can help me with this stupid sensor, let me know. other wise im stuck here drinking
staring at my car wondering what to do.

take the TB off, or if htere is enough room - leave it on,
try to cut a groove into hte bolts with a hacksaw and unscrew tehm this way...
or else drill hte bolts out with a 4mm drill and repace with other bolts/screws...

damit. I was hoping it would of been easier than that. why did honda make that sensor so permanent?
well, ill still drink some
for a while. sleep it off. then cut groves and try to take it off. long day tomorrow. yippi. then find out why map sensor is throwing a code. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

so punks like us couldnt mess with it and have to take it to a dealer to get it fixed!!!
ah well, the cut and shut should work, but maybe not when hand eye co-ordination is impared...

whoah!!!!!!!!
hold on - your MAP is throwing a code?
- ARE YOU SURE THE TPS AND MAP PLUGS WERE NOT ACCIDENTLY REVERSED?!?!?!
Hey, I am looking to put a better engine into a 92-95 hatch. Many people suggest the GSR motor. Did you do your swap, and how hard was it if you did?
thanks

dude, nop prob. its easy. let me know if you every need advice or help.
but anyway.
Im pretty impared right now, but the plugs are not messed up. i traced with map sensor wire from the correct pin in the ecu to the map sensor plug. and it runs perfect right now. idels nice. it wouldn't idel if the plugs were switched. I just have a hose problem with the map. stupid dam darn thing. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
and yeah. Im not doing and cutting on my tps sensor still i can see stright. (took me long enough to write this. lots of backspacing and fixing mispeeled words.)

and because (quote from honda) "the tps sensor is a very delicate calibrated sensor we cant sell it seperate from the throttle body"
thats what they told me when i asked for a new one.
oh god. now im pissed. ill get the dam thing off. no code for tps. it just broke off tonight. i can kinda put it back in, and maybe tape in on, but it still works fine, jsut a little broke. stupid thing. and my intake is different on my old gsr motor. other wise i would swap whole intakes. oh well. hack saw tomorrow. yippi.
yeah, the tps is broken, but i can still put in on and it works. but I jsut found soemthing out. long blinks are 10, and short blinks are 1. Im going to check my CEL again. Im pissed.
everyone laugh at me. lets here it. hahaha

yup. it was code 41, not 5. shitty. i looked at the O2 plug, and it wasn't all the way in. it clicked into place. now I will reset the computer and see what happens. and I have to reset the ecu casue when the tps broke, if threw that code too. #7
ill let all you know what happens after its all reset. I hope it works.

OK. tps code went away. but O2 code still there (#41) I swear I have to rewire something with my O2. Im going to test all the wires and get back to everyone. casue I know many poeple on here want to know what to do with the O2 sensor. Maybe mine is bad.
I know I have another O2 around here somewhere. let me look. probably under all this **** in the corner on my garage. Ill get back to you all.

can you explain a little more to me? I know the O2 sensor itself has 4 wires. but the O2 sensor plug only has 3. But the O2 sensor plug from the wireharness has 4 wires going into it. I think I need a new O2. Mine is kinda screwed up. but isn't that expensive? And i couldn't find my other O2 anywhere. My O2 is bad, and my O2 plug is stupid. so I should go find a new one.
guess what. I found my O2 sensor. put it in, and it worked great, no check engine. just untill I give her, then the tps comes a little apart and then the cehck engine comes on for that. oh well. maybe some duct tape will work for that. haha
so you don't have rewire the O2 when putting in a gsr motor into a 92 VX.
