I have a P28 ecu off an auto, what does it take to convert it to a manual ecu?

 

you can chip it to 5spd or you can arrange the jumpers so that it becomes 5spd ecu

 

you can rejumper it to a 5speed?
are the fuel maps diffrent on an auto?

So just change the jumper and thats it, and it won't throw a code? If I wanted the right fuel maps what would I need to get? They say get it chiped, but who chips a auto to manual?

most people that do ecu chipping can convert to manual. I don't know who to reccomend though. If i was going to go the route you are going i would buy a chip off of ebay for next to nothing and do the jumper for the auto to manual and see it it works out before sending my ecu out and getting charged alot.
