Default p28???

I have a P30 and a P28. I want to chip my P30 and use my P28. The P28 is not chipped so my question is... can I use it without chipping it? I don't want to race with this ecm but rather just get to and from school. will this work?

I'm thinking about using the P28 for the chip. It's going to be Hondata so I don't know if that makes a difference.
