Default obd2 to obd2 swap

i am planning on swapping a 96 ls motor into a 96 civic dx, i searched here and read the hybrid garage page but it does not say much abiout this kind of swap. My question is can i use the same harness that comes with the car ? or do i need to change it over to a ls harness

I'm pretty sure you can keep your harness...you'll probably have a few connectors left over because you're not using any VTEC wires.

You have to reuse your DX harness on the LS motor since all 96-00 civics use a 1 piece engine harness (integra have a 2-piece engine harness which are not comptible w/96-00 civics). There shouldn't be any vtec wiring on either harnesses. But even if you did, its ok if there's vtec wiring/plugs on the harness; you'll just leave those items unplugged/dormant.

The LS ecu should plug and play with your car since both vehicles are 96.

yeah just make sure you use ALL of the emissions equipment from that ls engine if you're worried about the smog test.

By reusing your stock EX engine harness, it will make the swap plug and play for the most part. You might have to extend some wires but other than that everything will plug in as long as you stick with a 96-98 B18B1 complete motor and ECU.

sorry i changed the post its a dx but i have been reading a bit so it seems that i take the dx harness off the dx motor and then put it on the ls motor and use the ls ecu. I see that i will have to extend a few wires and use a SI rear engine mount and the civic driver side mount and for my ac use a delsol vtec ac bracket?
anything else i should need i know i need the axles shift linkage ect but what about radiator hoses? thx guys this will make teh swap go so easy for me(i hope lol)
