obd2 to obd1

obd2 to obd1
i want to convert my obd2 to obd1...every one says do it but no one as told me the advatages of going to obd1... will it increase hp?i heard it was better for nitrous and turbo true? also what sensors will obd1 eliminate? and i am not sure but is the obd1 ecu like pr3, as in can you read the code the engine is throwing from the ecu? thanx

The PR3 ECU is not OBD 1 it's non OBD. So are you talking about converting say a non OBD CRX to OBD 1? Add a little more and it will probably help out. As for OBD 2 to 1 you will be able to take out the crankshaft speed fluctuation senor and the secondary O2.. Latez

they are almost identical to USDM P30 or P61 ECU

i am going obd2 to obd1 i have a 96 ls and i heard obd1 would be better for my since i am running nitrous and i am planning on going turbo soon..i dont realy know the difrences between obd2 and obd1 thanx
