new mounts?
hi, i have place racing mount in my car now but they do not allow the axels to sit strait.. and doesnt that put premature wear on the axles.. they put the engine a little up and allitle forward i was wondering if there was a way i could fix them or are there better mounts that will put the engine in the right spot thanks....
no mount kits will place the motor straight. if they claim to, they are lying, because in order for the axles to sit straight, the motor would be several centimeters forward, and you would have a very strange looking bulge in your hood.
placing the axles straight in that situation would upset the balance of the car even further, because the weight would be farther towards the front, and there is so little over the back currently.
if your dash vibrates a bit at idle, the place motor mounts are doing their job just fine, i would rather have a dash that vibrates than a motor that shakes in the engine bay from sloppy mounts.

that is what i am tyring to say my b16 rubs the hood with the valve cover and if you look up at the car from the bottom the axles come out at an angle toward the back of the car

the angle of the axle dosent matter unless its like 85 degrees.
dont worry.
