Default Need some help with wireing please

I am swapping my gsr motor, trans, ecu into a ls i recently purchased, they are both 1996. I am doing the vtec wireing, I have figured out the pinouts/wires going from my gsr ecu to the plugs in the engine bay harness. I have removed the 4 pins from the ecu end of the gsr (knock, vtec pres., iab, vtec solenoid), and will swap them into the ecu plugs on the ls. All is good so far. My question pertains to the engine harness connectors on the ls. I assumed these 4 previosly mentioned wire pins would be missing on the ls wireing harness (well one is missing, knock sensor wire). The 4 pins on the ecu connector are open and ready for the gsr pins. The iab wire (red) is on the drivers side connector in the ls, where does it go? why is it there? Also the 2 pins in the ls harness where the vtec wires need to go already have wires in them, and are different colors. Any help would be appreciated.
