i just bought a civic with an h22 in it and just had it delivered.
when i went to start it, the motor sounded like it was gonna die, it was so slow starting. also the idle is really weird, it stays at like 2000rpm and to bring it back down all i have to do is pull the gas forward and the idle drops but sometimes it drops too much and stalls.

congrats on geting your car...but it looks like your in for a treat. there are a number of things that could cause this from the dizy to bad wiring. Are you throwing any codes? If so post them up so others can help you out. Good luck.

dude what kind of ecu is in it that might be some part of it...

 

I had the same problem. Mine would idle high but when I pulled the gas pedal out the idle would start to jump, up and down. I think I messed with the throttle cable and a screw on the throttle body. I noticed that the problem was the screw kept coming loose from the vibration. Worth a check it wont cost you anything.
