Need help with b20 swap
Ok..I'm swapping a b20b into a 2000 civic dx .. I'm keeping the stock ecu for now and the stock wiring harness... motor is in.. tried to start it to check the compression and it won't start!! it will turn over but won't start.. so we tried to check the fuel .. we poured fuel into the intake manifold and the car started.. we checked the fuel rail and gas fuel made it to there... i'm using the stock b20 injectors... should i change them? compression is ok ... i dont have the o2 sensors hooked up as of yet (still working on getting an A pipe made) ... I also don't have some of the hoses connected to the intake manifold.. i did not splice any wires and put them in new places .. i only extended the wires that needed to be extended... does anyone know why it may not be starting?
does anyone know if the stock b20 injectors have a resistor pack... and I heard that the dx ecu would work fine!! ... has anyone ran the b20 injectors with the dx ecu? please help soon!! need car this weekend...
there is fuel pressure on the rail ... the injectors are just not firing... trying to figure out if the injectors or signal to the injectors that is aving a problem.. your experience is apreciated!!! I did check all the fuses as well... and they were all fine.
Sounds like your injectors are seized up. If there is power at the injectors and it doesnt start then they are not spraying. I would put the dx injectors in it and see if it starts.(prolly will) Good luck.

Your computer will not run a b20. Your trying to run 1.6 computer on a 2.0 motor, You need to get the computer and harness. Unless your using the same head.
Is your car thowing a CEL?? If so what codes... Anyways have a friend crank the motor as you hold a screwdriver to any of the injectors and the other head to your ear to see if you hear a clicking noise... If not there is something wrong with your injectors... Did you rework the IAC?? The DX runs a 3 pin rotary style and the B20 uses a 2 pin linear style... It shouldn't make that much of difference but my guess is you have some problems in the wiring... The CKFS plug is also a bit different and you really should get those oxygen sensors in... Once you do all those changes you're gonna need an LS ECU.. I would just go with the P74 and either make or buy an OBD1-OBD2b jumper.... Atleast then you don't have to worry about the secondary O2 and the CKFS.. Again all of these problems in the wiring that i just mentioned most likely aren't going to be a problem for the car starting but i would get them rewired if you haven't already done so... Good Luck
