Motor question!

Would a 1994 sohc vtec fit in a 1990 civic dx? Would the dx tranny fit the 1.6 sohc vtec block so my friend can use the dx tranny since he dosent have a 1.6 tranny? Please help?

yes with some wiring, and yes the tranny will work

the clutch wont work.
you have a cable operated clutch, the one in the d series is a hydro.
