Default LSVTEC Begining Questions

Lets get right into this. Im using a 97LS B18B in my DA integra right now and ive got enough funds to go LSVTEC. I have located a complete USDM B16a2 Head. Now i have a few questions about piecing everything i need together.
1. What ecu should i use? I am planning to purchase a v-afc to do further tuning but should i get a p28, p30 and what are the differences? and should i be getting it chipped or leave it to the v-afc?
2. Are the ARP head studs recommended or needed to make this swap reliable?
3. Should i stick to a OEM Head gasket or a Cometic head gasket? If Cometic which one should i get because i know there are a few variations.
4. Should i be purchasing anything else for the block, such as a block guard?
I want to make this LSVTEC swap as reliable as it can be and i want to piece everything together CORRECT so i don't regret anything later on. With just the stock LSVTEC with the things i asked about, what should i safely red line at? Thanks for any info you guys can provide me with!

1. i've been using a p28 and its been working fine with hondata
2. i kept the p72 head bolts its been about 20k or so miles and its running like a champ
3. OEM LS head gasket
4. rod bolts, maybe pistons (if you want the extra umph.. i guess)
good luck on the build up

The ARP head studs arent a must, but the rod bolts are. You might as well upgrade to some higher compression pistons, VTEC thrives on that.
