LS / VTEC Questions
Had someone introduce me to the idea of a LS Vtec swap into my 93 vx. Thinkin about b18b block with a GSR head, but I was wondering, is there any kind of internals work that would need to be done (without huge performance in mind, that will come in due time) to make it reliable? At the moment if i were to go this route I would just go with the I/H/E upgrade for a while. How hard is it to mount the GSR head to the b18 block, and are there any guides out there (searched)?
i'm doin' an ls vtec too. first of all the head isnt gonna slip on the block lyke cinderellas glass slippers, you need some machine work done to the block by a professional machine shop then bypass a oil line to the vtec soleniod. but other than that its easy if you know what your doin'. how high you plan to rev determens if you need to hop up your valvetrain.

Wrong
They(golden eagle) makes dowel pins that do make the VTEC head fit perfectly. You only need to tap and plug one oil hole(easy). Check out golden eagles site for their "VTEC conversion kit" No machine work needed with this kit. Also ARP rod bolts are a good idea and so is shot peening your stock rods if your on a budget
Hope this helps.
