Default K20a in a ek....

Hey, I tried searching and I cant find a simple answer..plus I have to go to bed for work so I am just looking for a quick answer

Ok I am gonna be getting a new car in a couple weeks. I am eaither thinking about getting a ep3 and waiting a while and then swapping in a k20a or getting a ek and getting the swap right away. I know hansport has the mount kit out, but I am wondering how much fabrication(I am sleepy and don't feel like spelling) is needed besides the mounts. I live in WI and don't know of a lot of good shops I would trust with the swap. I know a while back I was thinking about putting a h22 in my old eg but heard I had to cut out floor pannels or something like that. Is that the case with this swap...or is it pretty straight forward with the mounts. Thanks for the help...sorry this is worded so crappy.....sleep

thanks
Troy

Get the EP and leave the motor in. Comptech makes some good parts for it as does AEM and Hondata

A customer of mine has one with 4k into it and it makes just shy of 200 whp and to say it flys is an understatement.

I'll ask him to post his mods

That shouldn't be a problem either way. Check my sig. for EP k20a times. The swap in the EP would be easier just because it goes right in. I have a k motor in an EK also and it took longer to do b/c of the wiring.
