junkyard swaps
has anyone bought a swap from any junkyards in southern cali? i know lots of people buy from osaka and IAS. just wondering if quality motors can be had from local junkyards for cheap prices.

I live in the San Fernando Valley and in talking to the local junk yards, I don't think that any of them will give you a "killer deal". They all seem to know what stuff is worth.
You will not find any "desirable" Honda stuff at the "self-serve" yards like Pick-A-Part! All the good stuff goes straight to yards that "specialize" in Hondas.
As for quality, it's possible to get a warranty on almost anything that you buy.
