I'd like to install a cluster from a JDM CRX SiR into my '88 CRX hybrid. I have a person in Japan who can get me one but told me I have to swap the top cover also so it will fit on the '88. He also asked me to study more JDM.

I want to do this swap basically for the RPMs which go till 9k but want to know if anyone else with an '88-89 has done this. Apart from the physical, what about the electrical?
