JDM B20 question?
Ok, I'm going to be going all motor with a B20 into a 6Gen Civic. The problem is my location, I'm having trouble sourcing a B20Z. I've been looking for one in Japan but no luck yet. I read today on these forums that the JDM B20B has the same compression ratio of the USDM B20Z so I might have a better chance of getting one of these depending on a couple of things :
1) Does having the same CR as the B20Z mean it also has the same specs ie. 146hp and 133tq?
2) I assume the JDM B20B was only available in Japan for the 97-98 CR-V models and in 99 the CR-V had the B20Z, is this true?
3) If no. 2 is incorrect what years was the B20B/Z available in Japan?
Thanks for your help, it's not easy doing swaps here,
G

Vernon at RaVer Motorsports 559-733-4711 has quite a few JDM B20 longblocks. His prices are good and his customer service is excellent. He can answer your questions and he has a few B20 longblocks in stock and ready to ship.
Be sure to tell him that Kenji sent you. Good luck.
