Default help please

i have an 98 civic ex w/d16y8 which motor is the better swap b16 or b18 and what do i need to look for as far as serial #'s because i would like to make it still pass smog(cali.)also who is a reputable shop to get swap done at near socal

ok first, it all depends on what you want to do, do you want an 11 second street car? or are you happy with just a faster car
since your in cali no matter what engine you get just get a usdm one. will make your life a HELL of alot easier when you try to pass smog.

not looking for the 11 sec but i do want to turbo as soon as the new motor is comp.ive been shooting a 55 shot in the d16 but to really go any faster its time to swap.
